Grocery Shopping the car-free way!

Produce was something that I sometimes struggle with with our car-free life. I try to go to the store as little as possible - so fresh produce can be a struggle.

My friend told me about the Klesick Family Farm, they deliver fresh organic produce to your door on a weekly basis. This is a picture of what came in our box last week for $30, the honey was a gift for signing up.

I love this. I would love to be a part of a CSA, but I can't go pick up the box each week, so this works out so well for our family. I have also wanted to limit ourselves to organic produce, and this allows us to do that without analyzing the prices at the store.

It also forces me to try new things and create new recipes in the kitchen (which I love to do). We had lots of red peppers last week, so I tried a Roasted Red Pepper soup - it was really good!

Can't wait to see what's in the box this week!

I agree that this is a great way to get fresh organic produce and reason to try new recipes. Share some if they are really good. I love red peppers so am intrigued at the soup idea!

Seeing all of that pretty fresh fruit make me happy! And I have a bunch of Red peppers that I need to use up so I'm glad for the soup suggestion.

plus with all the hormones in our foods these days it's just better to go organic.
