It's Always Fun When Grandma Comes

We had a great time with Grandma this past week. We had some yummy meals. The kids got to play lots of games with Grandma and I finished some Christmas presents for Sarah's boys that my mom was able to take to Texas with her for the next stop on her trip.

Our favorite day had to be Friday, the first time we took all three kids out at the same time. We headed to a play put on by the Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia. It was based on a few Eric Carle books, and they use glow in the dark puppets under black lights. The kids loved it. If they're coming to your area, I highly recommend going (you can click on North America performance schedule - they are going to Austin, Anecia and NY, NY, Rebecca). I thought it was so great that they called it a "non-shushing" show - if the kids were excited and wanted to make noise, they could!

After the play Grandma took us out to McDonald's (we let our kids go to McDonald's when their grandparents are visiting!). The kids played at the playplace - Grandma even climbed on to help Delia. And then on the way home we stopped and picked up donuts.

Hopefully the kids had enough fun to last them a while - because I don't know when I'm going to be brave enough to take all three kids out on my own!

YAY, for grandmas!

Three kids rocked my boat for a while, especially when I was by myself. Sometimes it's just nice to stay at home for awhile.

I don't blame you about the 3 kids fear of leaving the house. It was hard for me and I wasn't dealing with public transportation issues. You are a wonderful mom. I am glad you got to visit with you mom!
