The Pear Blossom

I was inspired by my cousin Kathryn to want to run a race (if you go to the link and read the lengthy post you'll know why). I started running but I haven't got past a mile yet, so ten seemed like too lofty of a goal. I decided to walk instead so I could participate with everyone and since I still wanted to have a challenge I carried Eliza on my back. It was a long walk, but a lot of fun. I got a lot of comments, like "way to go mama", "she's got to be the youngest participant", and (my favorite) "good thing you've got someone pushing you". Eliza did great - she slept some and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Hopefully next year I can run it sans Eliza. First up a 5K with the Hunt Family Ladies this Summer - hopefully if I start smaller, I'll reach my goal!

This was a thrill for Roger and for me. We are so proud of all of you, and being together was truly wonderful. This photo is priceless.

You're such a rockstar. When we passed each other I almost had to cry about it.

Me and my sisters and Emily and maybe Rachel are going to run and/or walk the Seattle 1/2 marathon next June. You should do it with us! My sister did one of these last year and she said once you get to the point where you can run 4 miles you only need about 4 months of hard core training. It would be so fun if you did this with us!
