These are Jason's Father's Day gifts, a couple of books about keeping chickens and bees - we are planning a move to an acreage on Whidbey Island. Jason will commute to his job in Everett, it's a short ferry ride and he'll have about 5 miles on either side of the ferry. We are excited about the move, it really seems ideal. But if it's not everything we dreamed, we are only renting and can move back to the mainland next year!
We have made some good friends in Everett this past year, hopefully we'll be back often enough to maintain those friendships and we hope to have lots of visitors at the new place!

Happy Father's Day, Jason!
happy father's day jason! sounds awesome -- way to rent to try it out -- that's what i'm thinking will be our next move, then if we like as much as we think we will, make it permanent :-)
Hello former veg prepper :),
I found you through Margaret's blog and thing your blog is very interesting. We live in a townhouse now that we are selling, but we are looking forward to getting chickens after our move!
I'm impressed by the way the word "acreage" just seems so natural for you! I can't wait to see the new place!
Very cool! Can't wait to see pics of the island. What a fantastic adventure!
We will miss you guys! We will just have to take some "field trips" over to visit.
What an exciting change...looking forward to future posts about your new home.
It sounds so fun! Congratulations!

What? You are moving to Whidbey? How fun. We will have to come see you guys. Do you need help moving?
Wow! That sounds so dreamy, please keep blogging up there. I love the life you're choosing for your family.

Alyssa's already excited to take the ferry to come visit you :)
I just hope it doesn't make me too sick!
As one of your Everett friends, I'm so sad that you're leaving. But, we look forward to visiting you on the island and hope that you will come see us often.
