Strega Nona

I got this idea out of the science book we've been reading that introduces science concepts with lieterature. We read Strega Nona. Did a little experiment with dancing noodles, and then we had fun with a big pot of noodles. The kids loved making a little village out of lincoln logs and covering them with spaghetti.
Then we did some noodle paintings. I thought these were lots of fun, but the kids weren't really interested.

And then we all went a little crazy and had a spaghetti fight. It wasn't too bad to clean up except where it got stepped on and squished in! Yay for cement floors (sometimes)!

I totally love that you had a spaghetti fight! That's awesome. I got the book from the library and Gabriel has been begging for oobleck, but I don't have the borax on hand. Perhaps I will go out and get it tomorrow.

If we make it in the morning I'll bring our borax solution. Hopefully everyone's feeling well tomorrow :)

You are such a fun mom. Funny, my mom and I were just talking about Strega Nona two days ago. I loved that book growing up.

Wow, you're such a great mom. Seeing that spaghetti all over the floor would about kill me! Then again, I don't have cement floors :)
Oh, and I LOVE the chairs! Very impressive :)
