Eggs!

We have eggs! It's so fun to find the eggs in the nesting boxes!

I scrambled up two side-by-side. Can you tell the store bought egg from the egg that came from the chicken in our front yard? Sorry it's not a great picture, but you get the idea (brighter is better). We've been enjoying our eggs this week - fried eggs and hash one night, spaghetti carbonara the next, waffles for breakfast. If you come and visit us there's a good chance that we will feed you eggs!

I made overnight waffles for the first time today. I got the idea from Hungry Monkey.
This recipe is from Mark Bittman. Try them!

I've heard there is a big flavor difference. I love eggs lately. It would be nice to eat some "real" eggs. Yum!

I have a friend here who has chickens and I couldn't believe the different colors. The yolks are orange! I bet they taste great. We'll have to come up and try some.
