We Have Bees!

Jason has been so sick all weekend and there is too much work for him to do! He picked up his bees today which he is pretty excited about.

The kids and I planted sunflowers and morning glories for a sunflower house (check out Sunflower Houses by Sharon Lovejoy - it's a beautiful and inspiring book about gardening with children) - I'll post pictures if it works out!

Wow, look at those bees! Do you plan to restrict what the bees get into so you can have a certain type of honey (i.e., wildflower, blackberry, clover, etc...)? Or do you plan to let them get into whatever they like and see what comes out? :)

That is amazing. How do you have bees? Meaning, how do you take care of them? I wouldn't know the first thing. I'd love a post on that sometime.

We totally want to come visit you guys. Your place looks so fun, beautiful and inspiring. We just need to work out the logistics of it all. Its lame how close you are and that I never see you.

We aren't planning to restrict them - we'll see what we get flavor wise :) We don't really know what we're doing - trying to learn as we go!

Margaret - I hope you guys plan a trip over soon. I think you would love it over here!
