My First Tri

Swim (1/2 mile): 0:21:26.2
T1 0:04:24.9
Bike (19.5 mile): 1:18:32.8
T2 0:02:06.1
Run (3.8 mile): 0:35:28.3
Total time: 2:21:58.3

It was so fun! I still feel like I can't really swim, but I survived! And hopefully I'll improve for next year (Jason said he'd do the tri next year too!)

I can't believe how much work goes into putting this thing on. There were so many volunteers that did such a great job. It really feels like a community event.

I feel like my family sacrificed a lot for me to do this. The cooking hasn't been quite as good the past couple of months and dinner has been late most nights, but they've all been so supportive! Big thanks to Jason, Eliza, Joshua and Delia! I love you!

That is so great! I just read your post then looked above at your title and said out loud--I think she needs to change her blog title from "mothering simply" to "the dynamic mother" or "rockstar mothering" You are my hero!

Way to go! I managed to go to Costco twice yesterday, but that doesn't seem near so exciting!! I'm glad all you hard work paid off!

You are awesome! I am looking for some incentive to work out. I think preparing for a tri would the perfect push to get me to the gym. I am thinking Hunt Family Tri next year!

Thanks everyone!

Rebecca- Jason finished the frame. I'll post a picture of it. But he needed a couple of tools that he couldn't get a hold of to be able to build it up. I'll be riding it in my next tri for sure!

AWESOME JOB! I flirted with the idea of doing a 5k once and then remembered I hate running ;)

Awesome job, Christina! I'm a bit jealous. The tri I was going to do is this Saturday, but sadly, I will not be competing due to a lingering muscle strain. :( Oh well, it was fun to live a bit vicariously through your posts. Thanks for sharing your day!
