I left for an afternoon and when I came home there was a rocket being launched! Jason fed the kids dinner and kept everyone happy and entertained while building a rocket with Joshua - I was so impressed!
Our friend recommended the book, Fantastic Flying Fun with Science. We checked it out from the library and Joshua's had some fun with it (Jason too). This is probably the most complicated project in the book - there are some pretty easy ones that are still pretty cool.

Joshua said the rocket was "the best thing there ever was!"
I think we'll be building some more rockets in the near future :)

We went to a birthday party over the weekend where they launched a rocket that they got from a local hobby shop and it probably went 1500 feet in the air - it was incredible! So I think we might be checking out the kits at the hobby shop too.
oh man we did that once at a primary activity and Alden still talks about it!!! What a fun thing to do! That picture of it shooting is COOL!
