Jetty Island

We took a little afternoon trip to Jetty Island (gotta love a free 2 minute ferry ride to a beach!) on Monday. I thought we better go before the move - because it would be quite the trek to get there from Whidbey Island. We made it to the puppet show and then just hung out at the beach - it was a perfect afternoon and I definitely recommend checking it out.

Wednesdays

Our Wednesday routine, as of late, has been to head down to an appointment with my midwife in downtown Everett and then head to the Everett Children's Museum for some fun! Here is a picture of the kids riding in the "slinky" part of a double bus. They love the slinky buses!

The bus ride takes about a half an hour, but it's only one bus and we catch it close to home - so it's pretty easy. We just bring some books to read.

Vancouver

Welcome to Canada! We drove Grandma and Grandpa up to Vancouver on Friday and they flew home on Saturday afternoon.
Joshua and Dad checking out the dolphin show at the Vancouver Aquarium.
Grandpa and Delia saying "cheese".

The dolphin show was my favorite part of the Vancouver Aquarium, everyone else really enjoyed the Amazon Gallery - but I thought I was going to pass out from the heat and humidity and had to wait outside the exhibit! The Aquarium was really neat, but not a place to go on a Saturday in the Summer - way too crowded. Joshua asked this morning when we can go back to the Aquarium and Stanley Park. I'm hoping to go again on a weekday, when school is in and hopefully it will not be so crowded!

Portland Trip

Joshua and Delia loved walking around the temple grounds.

We had a full day to Portland on Tuesday and got to have a lovely lunch with the Christensen's. The drive was long on the way home with traffic, rain, and tired children. The funniest part of the whole trip was Joshua yelling at Delia to stop talking because he was trying to go to sleep. And then Delia says to Joshua, "I don't have any more patience. Stop yelling at me." I couldn't stop laughing.

Snoqualmie Falls

We headed to Snoqualmie Falls on Saturday with Dad And Ellen. It's a popular destination - they get about 1.5 million visitors a year. It was a beautiful drive up and back - and the falls were amazing. We even got to stop at a road side stand for fresh cherries - I canned some and we also had a cherry cobbler for dessert on Sunday. Yum!

Our walk to the bottom (very steep at parts and about a 1/2 mile). When we were almost to the bottom we saw a parking lot to the right and realized we could have driven down. Jason did the hike up to the car and drove down to pick us up. I think the hike up would have been a little tough for me and my big belly, but mostly I didn't want my dad to have a heart attack on the way up!
