Silhouettes

In preparation for my sister's arrival last weekend I made these. Our bedroom walls were pretty much empty so we hung (Jason hung and I watched) these over our bed. They were super-easy and I like the way that they turned out.

I copied the idea from the ever-inspiring Nie (this is a link to where she talks about how she makes them).

Auction for Nie Nie Day

For the Nie Nie Day auction I made a felt pencil roll and a little tote bag. The idea of the project came from the book, The Creative Family, so I decided to include a copy of that as well.

You are bidding on:
a 100% wool felt pencil roll, one brand new set of 12 Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils (MSRP $14), a copy of The Creative Family by Amanda Soule (MSRP $14.95), a small (3" x 3") sketchbook, and a handmade tote bag.

Please bid in the comments section of this post. Bidding will end on Sunday at 9:00 pm (PST). Please keep bids to whole dollar amounts. Monday morning I will post the winner of the auction, whose job it will then be to pay the high bid amount directly to the Nielson Pay Pal Fund. They can then email me a copy of the paypal receipt and their mailing address and I will ship them the art-on-the-go bag early next week. Thank you and Happy Bidding!

Crafting for Nie

I'm sure that most people that read my blog have heard of Stephanie Nielson and the plane accident that she and her husband were involved in. I don't know Stephanie personally, but I feel like I know her through reading her blog, and I am looking forward to being able to help her family in some small way. Tomorrow is Nie Nie Day and I'm participating. Check back tomorrow to see what I'll be auctioning off!
