Jason and I went to the mall last Friday night. I don't know when the last time we were at the mall together was, but it's definitely a rare occurrence! The reason for our outing was to look at a stroller at REI, not just any stroller, but probably the most expensive double jogging stroller there is.
If you didn't know I have an affinity for high-priced strollers, which is kind of strange since I try to carry my babies everywhere I go, for as long as I can. We actually bought a Bugaboo Frog when we had Delia and I loved it. I thought it was a great stroller, but we also had a car at the time and I didn't feel like I was using it enough to justify the price tag, so we sold it and we were stollerless for a long time.
I bought a used lightweight stoller when I was making the cross-country journey with the two kids, so I could maneouver my way through the airports. And that's what I have been using for Delia, and I'll probably keep using it for Delia when we go on bus trips and carry the baby.
But I figure if I have a jogging stroller that I can put both girls in and Joshua rides his bike, we can get anywhere within a couple of miles. The reason I like the BOB is that you can put the baby in starting between 6-8 weeks. We have a bike trailer that turns into a jogging stroller, but the baby isn't supposed to go in that for a year, which doesn't really help me and it's a pain to steer. The BOB did handle great, I don't think you could expect anything less for the price tag! The only downfall I saw was that it is huge, but I don't see a way around that when you're looking for a double stroller.
Anyone out there with a BOB? Do you think they're worth the money?
Anyone out there with a jogging stroller they love that might be more affordable?
